Year 7 and Year 8 will be spending the day with their form groups focusing on understanding ourselves and others in order to develop an appreciation and acceptance of others / support for others.

Part of the day will be spent taking part in OUTLOUD and interactive theatre production, delivered by Hive North. OUTLOUD has a proven track record of changing attitudes and raising awareness of homophobia, bullying and discrimination. The play is also designed to empower young LGBT+ people by celebrating diversity and discussing LGBT+ role models.

In addition, we are excited to welcome external trainers who will teach our students the life saving skill of resuscitation!

There will be a session on mindfulness looking at sleep, healthy food, social media and acts of kindness.

Due to the practical nature of some of the day, students are invited to wear their Alder PE kit for the day.
