Our school will be taking part in Hello Yellow on Friday 9th October to raise awareness and funds for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity for young people’s mental health.
Many young people are struggling with their mental health right now and that’s why days like Hello Yellow matter. By teaching young people to explore their feelings, how to talk about them and who to reach out to for help, we’re giving them the tools they need. By raising funds for YoungMinds, we’re making sure that they have access to support when it matters most.
What's happening this week
Throughout the week, students will take part in assemblies focused on mental health, wellbeing and attendance helping to promote positive conversations and understanding around this important topic.
Wear Something Yellow on Friday 9th October
On Friday, we're inviting all students to wear something yellow alongside their normal school uniform in exchange for a £1 donation (payable via ParentPay). This could be a yellow t shirt, yellow socks or a yellow hair ribbon. All proceeds will go towards supporting young people's mental health.
Bake Sale on Friday 9th October at Brunch Time
We’ll be hosting a bake sale in the Main Hall during brunch time, organised with the help of some of our fantastic students. Payment for the cakes will be in cash.
We need your help!
We're asking for donations of homemade or shop-bought cakes, brownies, cookies, or any other sweet treats to help make our bake sale a success.
Important information for donations:
- If you're making homemade treats, please provide a list of ingredients and allergens with your donation
- We cannot accept any treats containing nuts
- Please bring donations to Miss Goode in the LSC
All money raised will support YoungMinds, every contribution, whether a donation or a baked treat, will make a real difference.
