Alder Community High School is celebrating another year of fantastic achievements as students received their GCSE results yesterday. With great pride, the school congratulates all Year 11 students for their hard work, resilience, and dedication throughout their studies.
Headteacher, Michelle Critchlow commented, “We are incredibly proud of our students. Their results reflect not only their commitment but also the support and encouragement they have received from their families and our dedicated team of staff. Our students have shown true determination and have excelled.”
Amongst the many achievements, we are delighted to highlight the outstanding performances of some of our students:
Head Boy, Jubril, was ecstatic with his results, smashing his targets and securing a place at Xavarian College. Jubril transferred into mainstream education part way through Year 8 proving, without a doubt that every child has the potential to excel in education. Jubril has been an inspirational Head Boy with fantastic morals who will go far in life. We are incredibly proud of you Jubril.
Lily B, a talented musician, balanced academic studies with extracurricular commitments, achieving excellent grades across the board. Lily is continuing her education at Ashton Sixth Form College, where she will study A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Lily plans to pursue an engineering career after university. Well done Lily!
Holly B has proved that attendance really is the key to success. Holly has demonstrated unwavering dedication by maintaining 100% attendance throughout her time at Alder. This remarkable commitment to learning, combined with a strong work ethic, has been reflected in her outstanding GCSE results this year. Holly’s determination serves as an inspiration to her peers and highlights the importance of resilience and consistency in achieving academic success. We congratulate Holly on both her academic and personal achievements and wish her every success as she progresses on to Aquinas College to study A levels in Biology, Chemistry and PE. Well done, Holly.
History enthusiast, Alex N, was always going to collect the best set of grades possible yesterday. Alex secured a free ticket to the Year 11 Prom earlier this summer for having the highest attendance at after school revision and intervention sessions. His results prove that going the extra mile really makes a difference. Alex has been a popular student with staff and his peers and was voted ‘Most Likely to Become Prime Minister’ at the Year 11 Prom. Well done Alex.
Alder Community High School is proud to serve the local community, fostering an environment where every student can achieve their best. This year’s results are a testament to the school's commitment to high standards and supportive learning.
“We congratulate all our students and wish them every success in the next stage of their education and beyond,” added Michelle Critchlow, Headteacher.
