We’re pleased to offer Year 10 students the chance to attend College Taster Days this July, giving them a valuable opportunity to explore courses, experience college life, and begin planning their post-16 education.
Key details:
- All Year 10 pupils will attend a taster day on Wednesday 2nd July at either Tameside College (Beaufort Road or Tameside One, depending on course) or Clarendon Sixth Form College.
- Students will choose their preferred site and courses during their PSHE lesson on Monday 12th May, having already had a course overview in form time. Please review the attached course information with your child ahead of this.
- Timings will be confirmed once choices are finalised.
- Students must make their own way to and from college to build independence.
- A packed lunch or money for the college canteen is required.
- Uniform expectations will be confirmed shortly.
Additionally, students interested in Ashton Sixth Form College are invited to attend a separate taster day on Thursday 3rd July. Please review the attached course information and complete the following Microsoft Forms link to register and select subject preferences. https://forms.office.com/e/KE3cEHLkKB . Options for Ashton must be submitted by Wednesday 14th May.
Consent must be provided on ParentPay for both of these trips—please keep an eye out for further communication regarding this.
