We are delighted to let you know that we will be celebrating Pride Week the week commencing 23rd June 2025 with our students. This is an important opportunity for us to come together as a school community to promote inclusivity, respect, and diversity for all.

What’s Happening During Pride Week?

  • A variety of events: Throughout the week, we’ll be running a range of activities and discussions focused on fostering understanding, celebrating differences, and supporting one another.

  • Brightly Coloured T-Shirt Day – Friday 27th June: All students are invited to wear a brightly coloured t-shirt, or their Alder Pride t-shirt, on Friday to show their support for Pride Week. This is voluntary – there is no expectation for students to take part if they do not wish. Students will be expected to wear full school uniform, including their blazers, over their t-shirt (no sports shirts/team shirts allowed).

Supporting Our Celebrations

  • Voluntary contributions: If you would like to make a voluntary contribution to help support our Pride Week activities or donate to related charities, you can do so via ParentPay, or via cash donation (£1 suggested).

Next Steps

  • T-shirt day: If your child would like to take part, please help them choose a brightly coloured t-shirt to wear on Friday, June 27th.

  • Voluntary donation: If you are able to contribute, please do so on Friday.

  • Questions or concerns: If you have any questions or wish to discuss Pride Week further, please contact Ms Sloan via the school reception.

Thank You

Thank you for your ongoing support in making Alder Community High School a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone. We are proud to celebrate the diversity of our community, and we look forward to a wonderful Pride Week.
