We would like to invite you to attend our Year 7 Welcome to Alder Parents’ Evening on Thursday 21st October 2021. This evening will be an opportunity for you to meet with your child’s form tutor face to face and discuss how well they have settled at Alder. To reduce the risk of spreading Coronavirus, attendance at the evening is by appointment only. To book your appointment, you will need to visit: http://www.alderchs.schoolcloud.co.uk
To reduce numbers, we also ask that only one parent attends the evening and you do not bring your child with you. Booking slots will be available from 4.00pm - 7.00pm.
A report will be issued which summarises your child’s behaviour and engagement in learning during their first half term with us.
On the evening, you will be able to meet your child’s progress leader (Mrs Hamilton) and our Year 11 prefects in the ‘Welcome to Alder’ section of the sports hall. Here, there will be information about e-safety provided by our Associate Assistant Headteacher, Mr Doran and there will be the opportunity to discuss ways to support your child’s reading at home from our Literacy Team. Mrs Bibby (our SENDCO) will be available for appointments with specific students. Mrs Bibby will contact you directly if she needs to make an appointment with you. To ensure you have sufficient time to look around our Welcome to Alder section, please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated slot.
