This blog post is by Faith, Year 10.

For Alder Arts Fest 2021, year 8 geography were illustrating the effects of climate change on our planet; many students did through the melting of the polar ice caps, which are decreasing the amount of homes for animals such as penguins and polar bears. Other students drew about deforestation effecting rhinos by destroying their habitat, causing a susceptibility to being poached, With one student quoting 'take a tree, take a life'. There were so many hard- hitting images drawn to really show the damage of climate change and the role we have to play to save our planet, it starts today!

It has been amazing to see how informed and passionate students at Alder are towards our modern day climate crisis, and its also great to see some budding artists!
